I came home to find this package in the mailbox waiting for me. I knew it was for the secret sister swap so I was really excited because I wanted to find out who I was paired up with.
I can now reveal that my Secret Sister is Susan from "The Food Allergy Chronicles". Please check out her awesome blog as she has some really good recipes to share.
Susan was so thoughtful that she read over the Craftmates' blog to find out a little more about me. She focused on my love for anything vintage, sewing, and of course...chocolates!!!
Now on to the contents of the package.... Susan sent me some homemade chocolate crinkles, a very cute 70's mug, homemade hot cocoa packets and vanilla, a pin cushion that she made, and some awesome materials to make a purse (including a pattern).
For the chocolate crinkles, Susan used Mum's original organic cocoa powder - a "superfood", and the sugar that she used was organic cane sugar. Let me tell that you that the cookies were gone the same day I received them. I am embarrassed to say that I did not share and ate them all by myself...they were really yummy!
Here's a photo of all the awesome things that were inside the box.
So, thank you Susan for the lovely package you put together for me. Thanks also to Carla at My 1/2 Dozen Daily for hosting the secret sister swap.
Have a great day!
A Perfect fitted gift for you Virna ! PS I wouldn't have shared those goodies either :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Susan definitely picked the right things to send me : )
DeleteWhat a wonderful box of goodies you received!! Susan is an awesome baker, that I can truly vouch for! :) Enjoy your goodies & thanks for joining my swap!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Carla. Because of your secret sister swap, I met so many wonderful bloggers.
DeleteSo pleased that everything arrived safely...especially the cookies! I was afraid they would be a mass of crumbs So glad you enjoyed them! Not sure if I mentioned in the letter, but the pure vanilla needs to sit for at least a month before you use it. Keep topping it up with vodka and let it rest in between...it can last for quite a long time. I truly enjoyed my quest! I just posted a link to your blog. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Susan! It's good that you told me to let the pure vanilla sit for a month or I would use it already : )
