holiday treats

Here is my first attempt at making my version of one of my favourite snacks, biscotti.  I’ve read articles about how easy it is to make this so that gave me  the confidence I need to actually head to my kitchen and make one.

I used this recipe which I found online.  As soon as I saw almonds and orange zest, I was sold.

Here they are just after they came out of the oven for the first time…

I then sliced them and put them back in for a second round of baking to give them the crunch they need...

And here they are all dolled up and ready to be given as a gift.

For the tag, I used Papertrey dies (Tag Sale #5, Limitless Layers Circle) and Everyday Treats stamp.  "Biscuits" would have been more appropriate than "cookies" but the set did not include that word.  Hope it is close enough.

I included a bag of TAZO tea (at the back of the tag) so the recipient can enjoy it with a warm cup of tea, just like how I would normally enjoy mine.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
