year of flower challenge

Hello crafty friends!  I am back with a quick post for Papertrey Anniversary's Year of Flower (YOF) Challenge.  As part of  the anniversary surprise, Papertrey is releasing coordinating dies for all the YOF sets.  How awesome is that!  No more fussy cutting in the future!

Related to that, today's challenge is to create a project using your favourite flower of the series.  I only have 2 of them and my favourite is hands down the violets.

So on this very snowy day here in Toronto, I decided to make my card a little cheerful.  Here it is...

I used  Papertrey's YOF: Violets, Pretty Peonies for the sentiment, ink (smokey shadow) and cardstock (lemon tart, simply chartreuse and stamper's white).  I also used my Li'l Inker's Stitched Rectangles dies and did some embossing with it. This will be the last time I am fussy cutting those flowers!

Stay warm!
