Curb Appeal

The last few months had been crazy as we moved quite a distance from my old home (which explains the hiatus from my usual Sunday blog).  Unpacking has been my daily chore lately so to break up the routine, I decided to do some decorating for a change.  Although it is too late in the year to do any planting, I wanted to add curb appeal to my front entrance.

Thanks to the nearby pumpkin patch and the marked-down urn at the local DIY big box store, I was able to create a fall planter for my front steps.

One of the benefits of living out in the country is the abundance of greenhouses.  I was able to score this sweet wreath from the local nursery along with "discounted" mums that I re-planted in a hanging planter.

By the end of the afternoon, I was able to add fall colours to my front entrance.

But the part I enjoyed most is the drive along the countryside (with my family) and discovering all the cool places the new neighbourhood has to offer.
