papertrey july blog hop -- fruits of summer

It’s that time of the month again… Papertrey’s monthly blog hop.

This time, it is about getting inspiration from the “Fruits of Summer” colour schemes that Nicole put together.  I love all her 6 colour combos but decided to play along and tried three of them.

My first card is from this colour inspiration…

And here is my card...

I used my favourite Ruby Rose set, limeade ice cardstock and sentiment from Hanging Out.  I plan to give this to my friend’s daughter (who will be my goddaughter!) for her baptism this weekend.  Not a traditional baptism card but I love it!  The colour scheme is also in line with the colour scheme of the baptism reception.

My second card is inspired by this….

And here is my card...

I used my never-before-inked set, Birds and Blooms.  What a gorgeous set, I must say!  I did not do any die cutting on this one… just pure stamping.  Love how easy it was to make.

And finally, here is the inspiration for my last card (except that I did not use scarlet jewel)…

And my card ...

I used my Watercolor Wonder and Sentiment Signs sets for this one.  Again, just pure stamping and letting the sets do their work.

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!
