not another paper project

My DD has been requesting for us to bake and decorate cookies together.  I have been putting it off because I have not found an apron I liked for her (I know, I'm picky!).  Last weekend however, hubby and some friends went out to watch a concert (I am not a fan).  So I volunteered to babysit my DD and my friend's daughter.  With the whole night to ourselves, what are  girls to do? 

It was the perfect time to do a little baking fest.  So now, I really need an apron.  Since I cannot find one, I just decided to make one.

I got the tutorial from here.  It was quite easy and I quickly finished it in under an hour (craftmate Virns will be proud!).

But alas, when her friend showed up with 2 aprons, she ditched mommy's apron for the cupcake one, sigh! 

So now, I have an unused, clean apron ready for test drive in the next baking round.
