One of the things Toronto is never short of is festivals. No matter the season, there is always a festival for something. For spring, one of the most highly anticipated ones is the Sakura Festival or more commonly called the Cherry Blossom Festival. People patiently await for its blooming (I know this for a fact because days leading up to its full bloom, I stalked the web everyday looking for updates on the best day to go!).
The best (and most festive) place to view the cherry blossom is at the High Park. So off we went with some of our friends to this much talked about festival (it was our first time). And it did not disappoint. The trees were in full bloom and simply spectacular. Here are some of the photos we took…
And here is the layout I made….
I used mainly patterned papers and 4x6 cards from Simple Stories' 24/Seven collection. The polka dot paper is from Fancy Pants' Trendsetter collection. This layout came together very quickly since all the elements are from this very versatile collection.
A few close ups...
Thanks for stopping by!
