Pages with Papertrey - Challenge #10

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend.  I want to do a quick post before we head out for some fun weekend activities.

One of the PTI forum members holds a monthly layout challenge.  Leigh makes the most gorgeous layouts.  You should check out her site here.  The challenge this month is to include an interactive element to your layout. It could be hidden journaling that you pull out to reveal, photos you lift to reveal more photos, etc.

My daughter is attending a class to prepare her for school this coming September.  They create all sorts of crafts and I wanted to preserve some of her work.  I just love it whenever she gives herself a "two thumbs up" for a job well done so I created a layout of it.

And here it is...

I used Papertrey Ink pattern paper (aqua gingham, pure poppy bitty dots), cardstock (pure poppy and summer sunrise), stamps (Pretty Peonies, Calendar Basics), dies (edgers #5, heart border, star border, limitless ovals) and buttons (pure poppy).  The floral paper is from American Crafts and the title is cut using Quickutz.

I framed my layout using washi tape.  I love washi tapes and instead of hoarding them, I decided to use them for layouts.

Here is the interactive element of my layout.  When you pull out the folder file, it will reveal Mr. Sun (as my DD calls him).

Here is a close up of some of the fun elements I added making use of a number of my favorite Papertrey stamp and dies.

Have a good weekend everyone!

  3. Irma, this layout is fabulous! I just love all of your PTI elements!!! It makes me sad I did not put the stars border die in my cart the last time. Such a fun layout! I love that you preserved her "Mr. Sun."
