thank you card set

A friend of mine in the office is heading off to a new company and we had a going away lunch for her yesterday.  Since she is also having another baby boy this summer, I decided to make her a set of thank you cards which she can use after the baby arrives.

I used my Tiny Treats: Birthday set to create a background on my new Limitless Layers Oval die (all from PTI). This is the first time I am using those dies and I am pretty sure, it will not be the last.  They are such fun to use!

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye's Fine and Dandy collection.  I also made matching envelopes by simply stamping on the outside.

This is a CASE of Betsy's card on one of PTI's Make It Monday seriesFor the uninitiated, to CASE means "copy and selectively edit" (others also use it to mean "copy and share with everyone").  Here you can see that I pretty much copied Betsy's design.  She is such an inspiration!

Here is a close up of the cards.

The set all together...

And this is how I packaged them (Pardon the "scratches". I tried to digitally erase my message as I forgot to take a picture before I wrote my note). I cut the tag using PTI's Tag Sale #5 and used the Trendy Trees dies to embelish it.  These trees are one of my new favourite dies. Also, how cute is that washi tape!

I got the printed notion bags from here.  There are other designs below. Don't you just love their chevron pattern? You should check out this store if you are in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).  They have all kinds of packaging and ribbons you'd think you've gone to craft heaven!

Hope you all have a good weekend.
