pages with papertrey challenge #8

I am back with a layout I made for Pages with Papertrey.  The challenge is to use ribbon on a  layout.  I am not a big ribbon fan myself so this is a challenge for me.  I recall Dawn (one of Papertrey Ink's design team members)  doing the ribbon pleating  technique in one of her cards  here.  I decided that I will use the same technique for my layout.
Last Mother's Day, my DD gave me a handmade card which she did with her Dad.  Apparently, they went through my stash looking for paper when I was out one day.  It's good that I keep my good supplies (aka Papertrey) somewhere not very visible.
I used Papertrey's patterned paper and ribbon (Smokey Shadow), stamp (Calendar Basic for the date) and button. I also used kraft cardstock from Michael's, fuchsia PP from an old SU set and Lifestyle Craft's Ring Master alpha die.
Here is a close up of the journaling and ribbon pleating...

And a close up of her masterpiece..
She was so excited to show off her work of art
Thanks for looking!
