Bags Galore

July was a busy month for me, but it was also a productive month as I was able to sew three different kinds of bags - a tote bag, a drawstring bag, and a grocery bag.

The tote bag was made using this tutorial from Skip To My Lou. I used vintage fabric from my stash and aside from a not-so-obvious mistake I made on one of the handles, I really like how this bag turned out.

I love the orange and yellow colours
I also whipped up this drawstring bag using more of my vintage fabrics. I enjoy making drawstring bags because they can also be used as gift bags.
I used gingham fabric for the lining
My third project was this grocery bag using a pattern I bought from Michelle Patterns. I used leftover upholstery fabric for this tote. I am very happy with this pattern because it gives you the option to make 3 different sizes - small, medium, and large grocery bags. This one I made is a medium size and it can fit a lot of groceries.

I have a few more bag projects lined up and I can't wait to start sewing them. For now, I will enjoy the long weekend we have coming up and maybe squeeze in a project or two.

Have a great week!!!
