We've been having occasional showers lately and the thought of summer coming to an end seems to be more and more inevitable. This reminded me of a layout I made for one of our visits this season at the Toronto Zoo. It was drizzling when we were having our lunch so all Frances talked about while eating was how she wished Mr. Sun would come out already so she can enjoy her splash pad. Her wish actually came true (as you will see in my succeeding layout tomorrow).
This layout came together quickly as I kept the design simple to keep the focus on the photos. Don't you find those expressions priceless?
I used papers from Studio Calico's Classic Calico Collection Pack (love the neutral tones of this collection!) and October Afternoon. I also used Papertrey's block alpha dies (can't wait to get the new modern alpha dies so my block alphas can get a little rest, ha!).
Close up of the journaling. Love the look of those tiny banners...
I realized I did not date this layout. I should go back and do so. I plan on using this date stamp, something I recently got from my trip to Michael's. The "year" section goes all the way to about 2020 (or thereabouts), so this will really get a lot of mileage from me!
Thanks for stopping by!
Love the clean look of thus layout!
ReplyDeleteGreat layout, love the little banners at the top.
ReplyDeleteOh Irma! This is such a beautiful layout! Mind you, it would be near impossible not to be with your lovely muse. So scrumptious!
