dynamic duo #36- red and black take 2

I had so much fun working with the red and black combo for this week's Dynamic Duo challenge that I felt inspired to make another project.

This time, I made a layout of my DD's recent "experiment" which resulted to her nearly losing all her bangs. This is my first layout for 2013 and what a way to start the year!  I hope it is not an indication of what this year will bring.

Here is my layout...

I used Papertrey dies (modern alphabet, fabulous frames),stamp (label basics, way to go kiddo for the journaling lines), buttons and patterns paper (pure poppy bitty dot).  I also used paper from My Mind's Eye, Studio Calico and Simple Stories, washi tape and some tags from my stash.

Close up of my fun embellishment cluster.  As for the headband, I am not sure why she suddenly had the urge to wear it after her little accident, lol.

And a close up of the journaling...

 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Totally beautiful layout. And definitely a great story to capture. That headband is so funny under the circumstances. Your daughter will have many laughs and sweet memories later in life. (I would have been terrified, too).

  2. Glad she didn't hurt herself, but glad you caught it on film. The headband made my laugh. She must be a character. :) The layout is super fun--good job!

  3. Great layout, Irma! I love the design and it suits these colours perfectly!
I had to laugh at this, though, because it brings back memories of Sage cutting her hair. Here's the blog post where I shared this incident... http://leighpenner.blogspot.ca/2007/09/bye-bye-curls.html, but I can't find the layout that I made for it online...
