make it monday #70

Today, I am joining Papertrey's Make It Monday Challenge.  This week's challenge is about puffed fabric accents.  The use of fabric in a paper project adds a lot of homespun feel to it.  So although fabric is not really my department (I usually leave this to the experts like my fellow craftmate Virns), I am excited to give it a try.

Father's Day is coming up this weekend.  So I decided to make a Father's Day card for DH using this technique.  Here is what I came up with.

Love the aqua and pure poppy combo

Here is a side view of the card.  Do you see the puffed fabric accent? I adhered layers of fun foams underneath using lots of scor tape.

I used Papertrey's cardstock (aqua mist, pure poppy and hawaiian shore), stamp (Mega Mixed Messages), ink (smokey shadow) and die (Make a Wish).  The fabric is from my very limited stash (wish I had more choices).  But overall, I am happy with how my card turned out... very CAS (clean and simple), just like the recipient.
