make it monday #73 and colour q #144

I am participating in another Make It Monday Challenge over at Papertrey. The challenge is to create a project that incorporates stamping on patterned paper.

For the first time, I am also using the same card for another challenge over at Colour Q.  The challenge is simply to use the below colour combo which I interpreted as pure poppy, melon berry, spring rain and enchanted evening in PTI lingo.

Here is what I came up with.

I used Papertrey's spring rain and enchanted evening cardstock and Happy Trails stamp set (currently loving this set!).  I also used my new favourite piestra tile from Memory Box.  The semi-distressed gingham patterned paper is from Lilybee's Double Dutch collection.  The birds were stamped using melon berry and pure poppy inks.

Here is another angle of the card.  I think I will try combining challenges from time to time.  This makes the decision process of what colours to use faster and stretches me to use colour combos that I will otherwise not think of using together.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day.  It is VERY hot here.  To those on the same boat, stay cool!
