pages with papertrey sketch #9

Happy Friday everyone!  I have another birthday-related layout which I am again entering into Leigh Penner’s Pages with Papertrey Challenge.  This layout is actually part of the batch of layouts I completed together with the 2 other layouts I shared yesterday.  Remember, I do assembly line scrapbooking J
Here is what I came up with. It was taken after my birthday dinner.  It was such a lovely spring day that by the time we got home, it was still bright and cheery.  Reminds me of singing birds...

I used Papertrey stamps (Rosie Posie, Little Bitty Bird), dies ( Rosie Posie, Little Bitty Bird, Pretty Peonies, Wonderful Words, Edger #3, Tag Sale #6, Heart Border, Edger #5), buttons, inks and patterned paper.  I also used some patterned paper from Basic Grey, washi tapes from Bella Blvd and some tags I picked up at my LSS.

Some close ups of my fun elements... This time, I did actual stitching on the heart border using my sewing machine. It was low risk since I stitched separately on the heart border first and adhered it later to my page.

First time for me to use Rosie Posie on a layout (I know, shocker!).  I love love this set but somehow I used it only on my cards.
Hope your work day finishes soon J Have a great weekend!
