This week, the craftmates will be blogging about party themes. What better way to enjoy summer than throwing or hosting a theme party with family and friends? All it takes is a little elbow grease and a lot of imagination.
Last spring, we adopted a new puppy from Kent OSPCA. Mambo was left with his siblings one cold, winter evening at the doorsteps of OSPCA. Touched with his story which we saw at petfinder.com, we decided to add Mambo to our household (dogs rule in our home!).

The craftsmates decided to throw a shower with a fiesta theme to welcome Mambo to the family. Note, even Sassy Sewer Virna was designated as "godmother" to Mambo. The craftmates decorated my basement with pompoms and a welcome banner for Mambo, all in bright fiesta colours.

Paper addict Irma prepared loot bags as well as the fabulous trifle dish complete with a minature banner. Bebsy made yummy cupcakes with bone shaped candy toppings.

All the guests gave Mambo (and me) amazing presents. It was such a fabulous occasion that I feel truly blessed not just to have Mambo but also my fabulous craftmates buddies share my happiness!

Myself & the "Checkerboard Aussies" would have loved those doggie bones, and I the cupcakes ! Awesome party by the looks of it all!

ReplyDeleteHow fun...I've not heard of having a "puppy shower" before but looks as if you all have. Looks so fun and festive and all of the sweet cupcakes and little loot bags, so adorable.
